Finding your place in the music industry can be overwhelming, but it offers endless opportunities. You have the option to explore many paths—success or failure often depends on the choices you make. You could become an artist, musician, songwriter, agent, background vocalist, arranger, A&R coordinator, composer, or engineer, among other roles. The possibilities are truly limitless.

While all these positions are exciting and valuable, it's crucial to identify what is right for you. If you're feeling lost and need guidance to navigate the music world, I have several insights that, if thoughtfully considered, can help you reach your career goals without missing a beat.

The Music industry can seem crowded with no room for new faces and ideas, but this is incorrect. People are always looking for fresh new faces, ideas, and someone to grab a coffee with and geek out on the latest music tech. Who's ready for a coffee break?  There is always room for growth. Where there are new solutions, technology, and new acts, there also will be new problems to go with it. Artists are always looking for new writers, Labels need engineers, and artists on tour will need incredible musicians. It's a never-ending cycle, and that's where you come in. The world is constantly changing, and with those changes, new information to learn that will help achieve goals. I am mentioning this so that you will know there is always room for you in the industry, no matter what anyone says. Also, people retire and leave the industry, meaning it's now someone else's term to fill that position. Let engineer 89-year-old Bob retire, for goodness sake. He has done his time and is done with recording entitled artists who think they have already made it. Can someone take over for Bob now? It's now your turn. So, look to the future with an open mind and an expectation that it's your time to shine and make your mark on the world. Oh, don't end up like Bob and retire at 89. He's so over it.

Don't worry about how big you will become when you first start. Everything you are supposed to have will come to you if you keep your eyes on what matters, and that's serving people. Many individuals focus on the wrong things and miss out on why they pursued this endeavor in the first place. If you put in the time, serve and love people, and go the extra mile, you will make all the money you desire and end up at the right place at the right time. It may take some time, but it will happen for you. Trust me! Don't fall for the "I didn't succeed by a specific age trick". Your time will come; when it does, you will know within yourself that you have arrived at the appointed time to serve. No one can stop you from getting to your destination, no matter how they try to convince you that they can. There are gatekeepers, but trust God to place you where he wants you. If it's your destiny, it will happen.

Contrary to what people may say, there is enough room for us to make our mark on the world in the music industry, no matter how big or small it may seem. Every human has a spark, and I want to help you discover and ignite that spark to shine bright as we create and improve the world. That is the purpose and goal of this blog, and I will succeed. Let's discover where we fit in our great big world and, more specifically, what part of the music industry we can contribute to and perform fulfilling work. We are not meant to do this alone. The music industry is a community, and we are here to help each other achieve the most excellent version of ourselves, look back, and lift the next group of people to a higher altitude. So, if you are ready to learn, grow, be inspired, and chuckle because I'm hilarious, if I may say so myself, return to the "Sonic Kingship Art Blog" for more life-changing information. The Music adventure begins here. Let's Go!
