Rico A. Huff, known professionally as Toni King, is a pianist, vocalist, composer, music producer, and founder of Rare Keys Production & Music School. As the Assistant Music Director at Hope Christian Church in Beltsville, MD, he blends faith and artistry, guiding the worship ministry with his musical expertise.

 

A professionally trained musician, Rico holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from the University of the District of Columbia and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland – College Park. He also earned a Master’s Certificate in Arranging and Orchestration from Berklee Online. Over the years, he has collaborated on various musical projects with Cecil Issacs, Nate West, and the stage play A Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing.

 

In 2021, Rico wrote, produced, and released his debut EP, Authentically Me, followed by Kingdom Radio in 2024. He is writing and producing his third EP, set for release in 2025. With over 20 years of experience at the piano, his musical style seamlessly fuses jazz, gospel, R&B, country, and classical influences.

 

Rico’s journey began at 12, leading him to study under acclaimed pianist Anthony Walker and perform in gospel choirs and jazz ensembles. Throughout his career, he has served as a worship leader, music director, and pianist at various churches while performing at The Kennedy Center and other notable venues.

 

In addition to teaching private piano lessons, Rico continues to expand his music production and engineering expertise. Dedicated to lifelong growth, he remains passionate about shaping the next generation of musicians while making a lasting impact through performance, education, and composition.
